Lorde Embraces Her Femininity On The Cover Of Vogue

Serve it, Lorde!

Lorde split from her manager early last month, and it looks like she’s making some other changes when it comes to her career.

On Monday (June 8), New Zealand’s pop rebel child took to Instagram to unveil her latest magazine cover, and this isn’t just any ol’ cover. Lorde is featured on the cover of the newest edition of Australian Vogue, serving up some poise, elegance and the sort of thing that we don’t see too often from her. Sure, it’s in the vein of this whole dark, cool-kid shtick that she often rocks, but it’s still a sight to see her in Alessandro Michele’s debut Gucci collection.

In the magazine, Lorde opened up about learning to embrace her feminine side, admitting that it’s something that has really boiled down to self-growth.

As I get older and a little bit more comfortable in myself, I’m like: ‘Yeah, I will wear that really pretty, feminine outfit, and I’ll feel strong in that as well. But I do love a perfect pair of pants, the perfect collared shirt, and I wear sneakers, heavy shoes.”

Lorde made a splash on the scene with Pure Heroine, and I can only assume that her follow-up will be even better since she’s learning to embrace her new skin. Plus, you can’t deny that her recent Robyn-inspired studio session isn’t something to look forward.
