Why do we gotta put each other down when there’s more than enough to g-g-go around?

“Come To Mama” is one of the highlights of Lady Gaga’s new album Joanne (out today), and its in-part thanks to Father John Misty (real name Joshua Tillman), who’s spent a lot of 2016 dabbling in pop (see Beyonce’s “Hold Up”). Tillman uploaded his demo of “Come To Mama” today, appropriately renamed to “*** to mama,” and it’s magical in its own right. There’s an affectionate rawness to his version that Mother Monster did without.

He wrote on the video: “Congagarats on your release day gagaga and rondo,” of course referring to Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson, who also took part in creating the track. “Thanks for great times.” Listen:
