Camila tried the dance route with the Sia-penned banger, “Crying In The Club,” but she felt like the music was inauthentic.

Instead, the pop star tapped opted for more laid-back mid-tempos like “Havana,” which quickly became a global smash and is this close to snatching the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100. But before she came to that realization, CC recorded some serious bops with Diplo and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder. Today, we get a taste of what those sound like.

Tedder, who’s a coach on Canadian network CTV’s original music series The Launch, used one of Camila’s scrapped demos to teach his students about song structure. He described it as “a big record.” No kidding – the production is monstrous and the chorus even more so.

I can understand why Camila left this one on the cutting room floor, but I’m low-key upset we don’t have a full version to enjoy. This will have to do for now:
