Take your weekend to new heights!

Hailee Steinfeld continues her winning streak with another pop gem. It’s titled “Capital Letters,” a dreamy mid-tempo produced by BloodPop.

“We put a crack in the shadows / And you tell me it’s okay to be the light / And not to swim in the shallows,” Steinfeld sings over soaring background vocals and a twinkly beat. “No, no / And I wanna get drunk with you / When we lie so still, but you’re taking me places / Holding me onto you / And we don’t care who’s watching us, baby.”

The Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack is far less brooding than it’s predecessor. Rita Ora and Liam Payne also contributed a song (there’s many, many more to come), and, like “Capital Letters,” has an airy touch to it.

  1. OK so who’s BloodPop and where did he/she/they come from. I’m scared to google it. Except for Justin’s “Friends” (which I like because it’s freaking Justin and because the song at least has a recognisable beat), this producer has been crafting washed pop songs left and right and I do not like that: they all sound the same, bland, timid… And this coming from a music lover who has a weak spot for soft and sweet sounding songs, so go figure…
