Three years of “Pretty Girls.”

Three years of “Pretty Girls.”

I’ll say it: “Pretty Girls” aged well! When it first dropped, The Britney Army wasn’t really sure what to do with it, but now that we’ve had a minute to digest its flawlessness, it deserves our respect.

The production, crafted by The Invisible Men, is infectious, but the lyrics are cringe. V V confusing.

It took 9(!!!) people to co-write the track, including the song’s co-star, Iggy Azalea, along with with Maegan Cottone, The Invisible Men and funnily… British girl group Little Mix. Yes, “Pretty Girls” appears to be a Little Mix throwaway and we thank them for that.

Exhale is celebrating the song’s music video anniversary (BTW if you haven’t registered an account… what are you waiting for?!) The clip dropped on May 13, 2015, so I’m a few days late to the party, but the song is timeless and better late than never!

“I love [Iggy’s] work and I had an idea to do like a really girl power, fun Valley girl video,” Britney said in 2015 of the vid, adding “there’s a lot of dancing. I got new choreographers to come in and kind of do hip-hop dancing, which I haven’t done in a really long time, so the feel of the video is really different and high-energy.”

It’s worth mentioning Iggy co-directed the vid, so please give it another spin below. You’re welcome.
