Good thing he’s cute.

Liam Payne recently released his debut solo album, cleverly titled LP1, but I’m so fascinated with everything about him minus the music that I felt compelled to share this new gem.

Discussing his former bandmate, Harry Styles, who just released his sophomore album, Fine Line, Payne tried to make the point that he’s the complete opposite of the very flamboyant and sexually fluid Mr. Styles.

“There’s so much mystery around who he’s become. I was looking at some pictures of him the other day, and I just thought, I don’t know what more I’d say to him other than, ‘Hello’ and ‘How are you?,'” Payne said.

“I mean, look at the stuff I put out and the stuff Harry puts out. Polar opposite. I’m like the antichrist version of what Harry is.”

As the headline suggests, Payne meant to say antithesis, not antichrist. If I’m mistaken… I have a lot of questions.

Payne was also asked about Styles’ fashion choices. “I couldn’t put myself in that. I’d look f**king… It’d look weird.”

You mad, bro?

  1. That actually makes more sense now. I was rationalizing as Harry being called a rock god lately. So? If Harry is a rock god, Liam is the antichrist. Antithesis is far less of a stretch, though.

Also, probably listened to “Sunflower, Vol 6” about 39 times today.

  2. I laughed at the subtitle haha! True.
But he has a point, and I understand it. Liam is a “regular dude,” he doesn’t GET Harry or whatever he’s doing or not doing, and that makes him (or actually reveals him as) super basic and immature. Not because one thing is better than the other (stop making everything gay, it isn’t or it doesn’t have to be!), but because Harry is definitely having and open mind and pondering things and exploring, and not simply going with the flow like Liam. Liam is on automatic, like his music. Maybe it’s understandable for his age, but if that’s going to be his attitude his whole life then he’ll end up being very uneducated and shallow.
