Las Vegas Recap

Britney trotted around Las Vegas over the weekend in anticipation of her residency at Planet Hollywood getting finalized.

Reliable sources tell the Las Vegas Sun that the official contracts will be signed over the next two weeks. “She wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t a done deal.”

Britney and her new boy toy, David Lucado, arrived on Friday and ate dinner with Caesars execs in the new Nobu Caesars Palace, where resident headliner Shania Twain also had dinner at a nearby separate table, reports Robin Leach. Afterwards, the two headed to Cirque’s One Drop performance at the Bellagio hotel which raises awareness of water quality and availability. She reportedly walked in shortly after the show started and left before the finale to avoid any photos. However, she Tweeted a pic of her and David at the event later.

Britney kept a low profile from Vegas paparazzi by sneaking around through back passageways escorted by security.

Saturday afternoon, Britney and David grabbed lunch at Top Chef Carla Pellegrino’s The Meatball Spot at Town Square, where she ate their signature classic meatball sliders with mozzarella cheese, along with homemade mac and cheese, and a Bananas Foster ice cream sandwich and a little bit of a Birthday Cake milkshake for dessert, reports Eonline.com. The two escaped through the kitchen afterwards.

While Brit and her man ate lunch, her management and production team met with Caesars execs and explored PH Live at their Planet Hollywood property.

Come Saturday night, Britney hit up Shania Twain’s show at the Colosseum, and in similar fashion to Friday, arrived late and left early to avoid any photographs.

She’s currently back in L.A. and is rumored to be back in Vegas for an official announcement very soon.

“Her run of 40 weekend shows over two years is not expected to start until next spring — or this fall at the earliest,” reports the Las Vegas Sun. “Everything should be announced officially in a couple of weeks,” an insider tells them. “Then Britney will be back, and there will be a real celebration.”
