Lana Del Rey cooks up a bewitching cover of Donovan’s “Season Of The Witch” featured in new horror movie, ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.’

The singer released an enchanting re-working on the eve of the film’s movie premiere (August 9th). Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark is based off the anthology book series by Alvin Schwartz. Guillermo del Toro, who co-created the film’s screen story, had this to say about Lana:

“I have admired Lana’s music for a while now and felt in my gut that she would run with ‘Season of the Witch’ – that she would use her alchemy to transform it,” said del Toro. “She is a great artist and has been an amazing partner with us in this adventure. It is an honor for me to have met her.”

Lana has revealed in the past she believes there’s “power to the vibration of a thought.”

“Your thoughts are very powerful things and they become words, and words become actions, and actions lead to physical charges,” Lana said in July 2017 – confirming she performed some kind of spell on President Trump.

“I really do believe that words are one of the last forms of magic and I’m a bit of a mystic at heart.”
