Hope is a dangerous thing…

Lana’s fifth studio album was rumored to drop this past spring, but that’s come and gone and there’s no sign of it… until now.

At a recent concert, Lana told fans to expect the new tunes to arrive in August. The singer doubled down by revealing she filmed two new music videos with director Rich Lee for two album tracks, “f–k it I love you!” and “the greatest.”

I think you’re gonna love the new double video I did with Rich Lee for two songs off the new record – ‘**** it I love you!’ And ‘the greatest’

This is very good news because it wasn’t that long ago Lana said she had no idea when the record would premiere.

In May, Lana used a personal Twitter account she started in 2009 to communicate with fans. She’s only Tweeted a handful of times since ’09, but something inspired the “Love” singer to hop on and chat. Just in case people doubted it was actually her Tweeting, she posted a never-before-seen selfie.

One fan asked when we can expect the album, and the answer was… interesting. “Album is done lil b but who knows when it will come out,” she said at the time.

Lana has a history of teasing release dates then delaying, so take her latest revelation with a grain of salt. Stay tuned!
