Lana Del Rey rips Kanye West a new one following his performance on SNL (where he wore a “Make America Great Again” hat).
Lana is a hero for this, because I’ve personally lost my will to speak out against Kanye. Not because I side with him, because he / politics / the Trump administration has depleted me of much-needed energy (Michelle Obama is somewhere very, very disappointed in that sentiment).
The pop star wrote a comment on Instagram condemning Kanye’s stupid assery after he posted a selfie in his MAGA hat.
“This represents good and America becoming whole again,” he said. “We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love.”
Yeah, that did not sit well with millions of sane people, including Queen Lana.
“Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture,” she wrote in a comment. “I can only assume you relate to his personality on some level.”
She added: “Delusions of Grandeur, extreme issues with narcissism – none of which would be a talking point if we weren’t speaking about the man leading our country. If you think it’s alright to support someone who believes it’s OK to grab a woman by the pussy just because he’s famous – then you need an intervention as much as he does – something so many narcissists will never get because there just isn’t enough help for the issue.”
She also had a sign off: “Message sent with concern that will never be addressed.”
In another very problematic post this weekend, Kanye said we should repeal the 13th amendment (you know, the one that abolished slavery). We’re one day into this month and I’m already done done done.
