Little Monsters will have to wait until October to see Lady Gaga star in Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born remake.

Fans of the pop star have had a roller coaster week with their fav. Gaga announced she’ll embark on a two-year residency in Las Vegas beginning December 2018 (YAY!), but has delayed the release of her new film by five months (AWE).

As Page Six points out, it’s likely due to awards season consideration. The film moves from its initial release date of May 18 to October 5.

It’s also worth mentioning that Gaga is attaching her real name, Stefani Germanotta, to the film (as opposed to her pop persona). Read more about that here.

This must also mean her music for the soundtrack will hit the pause button as well. Gaga makes money moves, so while I’m bummed it’s delayed a few months, it’s not for nothing. Great things take time!
