Lady Gaga Wraps Jazz Tour, Is Ready For New Pop Record
It’s LG5 time!
Lady Gaga readies her return to pop music.
Mother Monster just finished her lengthy Cheek To Cheek world tour in Washington, DC with Tony Bennett over the weekend, and it’s bittersweet. While she’s sad there aren’t more performances to look forward to alongside her 89-year old soulmate (his birthday is today, Aug. 3), she’s excited to put forth a new pop record. Gaga posted a photo of her and Bennett on Sunday expressing her anguish, saying: “I’m so sad that this tour is ending. I will never forget it as long as I live. And maybe longer.”
We don’t know much about Gaga’s new sound, but according to Gaga’s long-time collaborator and friend, DJ White Shadow, who had a hand in “Applause,” “Bloody Mary,” “Government Hooker” and “Do What U Want,” it’s “super duper sweet.”
Gaga recently told Little Monsters she can’t wait to share her new music, saying: “I dream of the morning we share in my new music together. When the new era of Monsters begins again. And the cycle continues.”
