I’m not convinced Lady Gaga’s Malibu mansion has the shelf space for all of her upcoming trophies. Mother Monster is nominated for two Golden Globes in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama categories as well as Best Original Song for “Shallow.” Elsewhere, the Recording Academy announced she’s up for an astounding five awards at the Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written For Visual Media. Her album title track, “Joanne,” received a nod in the Best Pop Solo Performance category.

Adding to the list is the coveted SAGs. Variety reports Gaga is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. She faces Emily Blunt (“Mary Poppins Returns”) Glenn Close (“The Wife”), Olivia Colman (“The Favourite”) and Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?”). A Star Is Born received a total of four nominations.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Lady Gaga
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Bradley Cooper
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Sam Elliott
Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture

In the interviews I’ve seen of Gaga lately, most times that she’s congratulated on her success she immediately pivots credit to Bradley Cooper. Hopefully Gaga takes a moment to understand how appreciated and celebrated her talent on its own is as well!
