UPDATE: Welp. This post didn’t age well.

The NY Times asked Rihanna about the rumors she has a collab with Lady Gaga in the works, and she flat out said “No.”

“Maybe because she followed me on Instagram. It’s not in the books right now, but I’m not against it,” she added.

EARLIER (MARCH 31, 2019):

Lady Gaga and Rihanna might have a song in the works!

I hope there’s enough bandwidth on the Internet to handle the impending slayage. Lady Gaga and Rihanna have tried aligning their schedules for years to create a track together, but it’s never happened… until now?

Gaga is VERY selective when it comes to who she follows on Instagram. She only follows 40 accounts, two of which were added today: Rihanna and producer BloodPop. Gaga usually only follows people whom she’s working with, so Little Monsters are now under the impression the two pop music superstars are cooking up something special together.

Gaga and BloodPop have been working on LG6 since at least 2017 (he had a hand in nearly every song off Joanne), but the idea of a Rihanna collab is new. It goes without saying how spectacular this potential song that might not even exist could be!

The timing is sus. Gaga followed BloodPop and Rih, then Tweeted about the new record. She shot down rumors she’s pregnant, sort of. Does this mean we’re 6-7 months away from hearing it? Could be too early to start telling people…

UPDATE: And… CupcakKe?!
