It’s safe to say Lady Gaga supports the Free Kesha movement.

Lady Gaga is officially part of the Free Kesha movement.

Gaga Tweeted Kesha words of encouragement last Friday after a New York State Supreme Court judge denied Kesha’s injunction to record music outside of Sony and its imprint label Kemosabe Records which alleged sexual abuser Dr. Luke oversees. She Tweeted: “There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.”

Since then, an outpour of support flooded in from some of music and Hollywood’s most influential women, including Adele, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway and many more.

Gaga took a moment to catch up with Kesha in person on Wednesday, and not long after. Kesha posted a lengthy statement thanking everyone for their support.

Mother Monster had a few words of her own to share, saying “This is the most upsetting part for me. That the very reason women don’t speak up for years is the fear no one will believe them or their abuser has threatened their life or life of their loved ones/livelihood in order to keep their victim quiet and under their control. What happened to Kesha has happened to many female artist including myself and it will affect her for the rest of her life. No one needs to validate Kesha. Why is victim always the “liar” why do we let people in a position of power get away with behaving in humanely? These guys hide behind the legal system and its their litigious behavior that is precisely what they use to **** these girls. “Give me what I want or else I will come after you” and they have all the money and resources to do it.”
