Kesha yearns for togetherness.

Kesha yearns for togetherness.

Following reports Kesha dropped the sexual abuse allegations against Dr. Luke in her New York City-based lawsuit (as well as the ones in California), the singer wrote a touching message on Instagram. She previously expressed her will to move forward, and putting the lawsuit behind her could be the best immediate solution. She can’t do this alone.

Kesha Announces “F—ing Crazy” Summer Tour: Kesha and The Creepies

“life is so beautiful and weird and heartbreaking and all of the emotions,” Kesha wrote in a post on Instagram. “The thing I have learned is that we are not meant to go through this life alone. The most important thing is the people you love. I don’t know if I could have made it through these past couple years without my animals. You all are so important to me and I’m so grateful for your love and support. Thank you ❤️ and I hope ur loving this tour as much as we are. You guys have literally brought me back to life!!

Kesha is one step closer to recording and distributing new material, but most likely under Luke’s Kemosabe record label which she so desperately wanted distance from.

“Kesha is focused on getting back to work and has delivered 28 new songs to the record label,” Kesha’s lawyer Daniel Petrocelli told BuzzFeed earlier this month. “We have conveyed to Sony Music and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release the single and an album as soon as possible.”

She recorded the songs at her own expense, in order to fulfill her contractual obligations. BuzzFeed reports if Dr. Luke refuses to release the 28 new recordings, “Kesha could present that as evidence that Sony and Dr. Luke, despite their assurances to the contrary, are refusing to release her new music.”

Dr. Luke’s attorney, Christine Lepera, told BuzzFeed Kesha voluntarily dropped her suit in California “because she has no chance of winning them.” It’s likely a similar scenario for her legal dispute in New York.

Kesha told fans upon dropping the first suit: “My fight continues. I need to get my music out. I have so much to say,” she said. “This lawsuit is so heavy on my once free spirit, and I can only pray to one day feel that happiness again. I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York. Thank you for all your support. The support of my fans has been so beautiful and I’m so grateful for it. I’m Not sure where I would be without you all.
