Kesha, Ben Folds And Y Music Cover Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me, Babe”

Dr. Luke may have blocked Kesha from performing it at the Billboard Music Awards, but she got to sing it anyway.

Kesha got to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan anyway, so there, Dr. Luke.

Luke blocked Kesha from performing at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday after he bought into speculation it was a “statement” piece over their legal scandal. Kesha clarified later she planned to cover Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” and that it had nothing to do with Luke. “I’m very sad and sorry to say I won’t be allowed to do this,” she said. “I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke.”

Kesha also admitted the day before she’s taking her life back. Instead of rolling over and letting Luke win, Kesha decided the show must go on. She performed “It Ain’t Me, Babe” alongside Ben Folds and Y Music at Folds’ L.A. concert at the Orpheum on Wednesday.

After the performance, Kesha poured over Folds via Instagram:
