It could premiere as early as next week.

Kelly Clarkson is bringing the feels on “The Cry Inside.”

Clarkson recently announced her partnership with Atlantic Records which would allow her more freedom to record and release the kind of music she wanted, like a soulful album, and one of the first tastes since the new deal is right around the corner.

It’s a song titled “The Cry Inside,” which we presume is a brooding anthemic power ballad because it’s the main soundtrack theme song for The Secret Scripture, a film based off the 2008 novel written by Irish writer Sebastian Barry about a one-hundred-year-old woman’s life in a mental institution.

Golden Globe nominated composer Tweeted the news, saying: “Thanks to the amazing @kelly_clarkson for her stunning vocal on #TheSecretScripture song The Cry Inside whilst 9 months [email protected] 9/15”

The movie premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 15, though it’s unclear whether the song will arrive online that day as well (you may recall Lady Gaga’s “Til It Happens To You” for The Hunting Ground documentary did not premiere for months after the film’s initial debut).

Regardless, a new moody Kelly Clarkson tune is on the way!
