Keke Palmer’s “Wind Up” Video With Quavo Is A Non-Stop Dance Party

June 14, 2017 By Jordan Miller

Turnt up.

Hump day got you draggin’? Keke Palmer’s new video for “Wind Up” featuring Quavo will heighten your senses.

The singer dropped a sparkling visual for her latest release off 2016’s Lauren EP. In the Dale “Rage” Resteghini-directed clip, Keke storms the stage with a fleet of backup dancers and stomps around with some seriously slick choreography. Eventually, music’s go-to collaborator Quavo beams in as a hologram and spits a verse.

“I’ve always been inspired by the ’90s and I wanted to express that inspiration in the style of the ‘Wind Up’ visuals,” explained Keke. “It was also important to me to incorporate another source of inspiration for me — musical theater — into my storytelling performance style. As this song is about my life I wanted to make sure it represented all of who I am. It’s quintessentially me: actress, singer, dancer, performer and lover of the ’90s.”
