Lady Gaga and Katy Perry hold onto each other for dear life at Clinton’s HQ during the tallying of the election on Tuesday (Nov. 8).

The photo was taken by Vanity Fair’s Derek Blasberg, who had this to say:

“I took this picture of @katyperry and @ladygaga last night at the Javits Center, where everyone had come to celebrate our first female president. It was taken when Pennsylvania’s ballots were counted, and it felt officially over. The room was sad but not shocked: The closer the race, the more divided the republic. Yet, we had hope. We still do. Here’s to praying we find answers in places we never expected them, and for not forgetting that it’s darkest just before the dawn.”

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are with her, but the majority of America wasn’t.

At the time of posting this, Donald Trump had 244 electoral votes over Clinton’s 215. There are several battleground states to be won, and it appears Trump will become the next President of the United States.

Gaga is in attendance at Clinton’s campaign Headquarters as is Perry, who gave a brief speech earlier in the night in support of the Presidential candidate.

Like most of the room, a somber silence has taken over Clinton supporters as a state of shock sets in that Donald Trump is likely America’s next POTUS.

Gaga kept her chin up, Tweeting: “In a room full of hope, we will be heard. Nothing can stop us. @iamderay #blacklivesmatter Stand up for kindness, equality, and love.”

Perry responded directly to Gaga, saying: “WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED.”

CNN reports the DOW has plummeted 800 points, or 4.4%. They write: “That puts the U.S. market on track for its biggest percentage decline since August 2011 when they plunged 5.5% after the U.S. credit rating was downgraded.”

Truly a sad time for America.
