Kanye West’s Album Is Officially Named

February 10, 2016 By Jessica

Kanye cuts it fine; securing album tracklist and title one day before release.

Kanye West is a perfectionist.

Since last year, he’s changed and rearranged everything about his seventh album but now, one day before the record is due to drop, the All Of The Lights rapper has finally made up his mind.

The ‘Pablo’ he’s referring to is likely iconic artist Pablo Picasso. In Kanye’s recent Kendrick Lamar collab “No More Parties In L.A”, Kanye drew similarities between himself and the painter:

I feel like Pablo when I’m workin’ on my shoes
I feel like Pablo when I see me on the news
I feel like Pablo when I’m workin’ on my house

West also referenced Picasso in his 2015 Oxford University lecture:

“My goal, if I was going to do art, fine art, would have been to become [Pablo] Picasso or greater”

The finalized tracklist sees No More Parties has actually been removed, and the question “Which one?” in the corner shows Ye still hasn’t quite made up his mind about something. Single choices perhaps?

West has been gearing up for his album release and the new season of his fashion line by keeping fans updated via Twitter photos of the behind the scenes construction of all things Yeezy.

The Life Of Pablo’s listening party and release are happening tomorrow during a sold out Madison Square Garden show, coinciding with Yeezy’s Season 3 launch.
