Kanye West Says The ‘Taylor Swift Moment’ Contributed To His Nervous Breakdown

Taylor Swift’s impact.

Taylor Swift’s impact.

I know we’re all still trying to forget the Kanye West x Taylor Swift bad blood, but now that Kanye is very much back in the press and dropping bombs left and right, we’re reminded of it. It’s actually something he’d like to forget, too.

In a new interview with Charlamagne tha God, Kanye says after the ~Taylor Swift moment,~ where he and Kim tried exposing her for knowing about the infamous “Famous” lyric, he says his relationship with the radio was never the same.

“Ever since the Taylor Swift moment, it had never been the same – the connection with radio. It’s like whatever powers that be it was much harder.” He also contributes some of the downfall to L.A. Reid leaving Universal Music.

I’m not completely convinced Kanye’s lack of radio play with The Life Of Pablo had anything to do with that controversy, but it’s Kanye’s world and we all just live in it.
