Francis And The Lights team up with Kanye West and Bon Iver on a laid-back visual for “Friends.”

The band (led by Francis Farewell Starlite) premiered their one-shot take today (July 7), directed by Jake Schreier. The video whirls around Kanye West standing in a white room before panning to Starlite, who dances around a bit. Onward, the clip meanders over to Starlite and Bon’s Justin Vernon who execute a bit of stylized choreography together. Things come full circle when West makes another appearance at the end.

If you’re wondering how this came about, FATL recently collaborated on Chance The Rapper’s “Summer Friends” off Coloring Book, who linked up with Yeezy for his song “Ultralight Beams.” Chance took a moment to clarify to angry fans on Twitter that FATL sampled his own song featured in “Summer Friends.”

According to Pitchfork, “Friends” was co-written with ex-Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij, BJ Burton and Aaron Lammer (of Francis and the Lights). The group also produced the song, in addition to Ariel Rechtshaid, Cashmere Cat, and Benny Blanco.
