Bieber also performs an acoustic version of “Sorry.”

Justin Bieber gabbed about Selena Gomez on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Biebs is taking over Ellen for the entire week ahead of his Nov. 13 album release, and DeGeneres kicked things off with an awkward segment where he’s pressured into talking about his first love, Selena Gomez.

Bieber looks visibly uncomfortable, but plays it cool when the talk show host grills him about what Purpose songs are about Gomez (“What Do You Mean,” “Sorry,” and “Mark My Words”) and whether they’ll get back together or not.

“Maybe,” he said of a reconciliation. “We have a lot of history together so it could possibly happen. I think we’re both just on our own journeys, figuring ourselves out and once we’ve figured ourselves out we could maybe come together and make an awesome duo. I just want her to be happy, honestly.”

He finishes the clip with an acoustic performance of “Sorry.” Watch below:
