Julia Michaels Chills Under Purple Neon Light In The Video For “Jump” Featuring Trippie Redd: Watch

A lot of great music has come out in 2018, but this is already one of my favs.

Julia Michaels put forth a hazy, low-lit video for “Jump,” featuring Trippie Redd, the singer’s lead single off her forthcoming debut album.

Julia’s EP, Nervous System, featured some seriously great pop gems (justice for “Pink” and “Make It Up To You”), and her new single is an astounding followup.

“Jump” is an icy bop about lowering your walls to fall in love with someone despite recent heartbreak. Ugh, breakups suck.

“I wrote ‘Jump’ about wanting to be in love with somebody after getting your heart just completely pummeled and that’s so hard for people sometimes,” Julia told Billboard, “especially for me, so I wanted to write about it and put it out in the universe.”

In the newly-premiered video, Julia sizzles under a vibrant glow, offering dicey stares as she and Trippie Redd pose around a classic car.

A lot of great music has come out in 2018, but this is already one of my favs.
