JoJo Debuts Her “Tringle”: Listen

August 20, 2015 By Ross

Welcome back, JoJo.

JoJo’s highly-anticipated “Tringle” release has arrived early online.

Nine years after her last major-label release (and a lot of label drama in between) the singer is back with three brand new singles, set to drop tomorrow (Aug. 21), taken from her forthcoming Atlantic Records debut.

However, the three tracks – “Say Love,” “Save My Soul” and “When Love Hurts” – have leaked online today, but it’s not all bad news for the 24-year-old as her new material is absolutely brilliant.

At this point, we shouldn’t be surprised by JoJo’s vocal capabilities – her extraordinary range, skill and execution is basically common knowledge – but her performances on these songs will make you sit up and listen.

“When Love Hurts” will be sent to radio first with a video release scheduled. Undoubtedly the funnest track of the trio, the dance-pop song builds its verses up to an explosive chorus – the kind that will fill a stadium with euphoria.

“Say Love” is a dramatic, drum-heavy pop ballad in vein of Jordin Sparks’ “Battlefield” (albeit more mature) as JoJo begs a distant lover to tell her they still love her. She is reminding everybody that this girl can sang: 2:33 – 3:02 will give you chills.

“Save My Soul” is a pensive track that deals with darker themes of addiction. With its huge chorus and killer hook, this will be stuck in your head for days.

I’m not entirely sure which single will give her another career-defining hit but I have no doubt that JoJo is about to get the success and attention that she’s always deserved.

“Tringle” will be available tomorrow (Aug. 21).

We missed you.
