Where there’s smoke, there’s fire!
Are you ready for Jennifer Lopez’s summer smash?
Us too, and it appears we won’t have to wait much longer. After a photo of JLo in the recording studio surfaced last week, rumors ran rampant the “Booty” singer was readying a return to music. Today (Aug. 3), Program Director of Z100 New York, Mark Medina, the gentleman responsible for posting said photo with Jenny from the Block alongside Republic Records’ executive vice president Charlie Walk, confirms it, adding her new song is “fun,” “hi energy” and owns her iconic Latin flair.

There’s talk JLo left RedOne’s label 2101 Records, a subsidiary of Capitol, for Republic Records, who represents Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd and Drake, to name a few. JLo recently released “What You Mean To Me” alongside Trey Songz from the Finding Neverland: The Album soundtrack through Republic Records, and she’s recently hung out with VP Charlie Walk at several public events – where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Her new single follows 2014’s “A.K.A.”, featuring all-star collaborations from French Montana, T.I., Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Nas, Jack Mizrahi and Tyga, and produced “I Luh Ya Papi” and “First Love.” We’re looking forward to how she handles her next musical endeavor, because we know nothing with JLo is half-assed. Nothing.
