Janet Jackson Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame includes Janet Jackson in next year’s class.

Miss Jackson finally landed in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She was previously rejected two other times, mystifying audiences and spreading a blanket of negativity around women of color.

That’s all changed, as the committee inducted Miss Jackson, presented by Janelle Monae. You can read Janelle’s full speech here.

Also included are Radiohead, Def Leppard, Cure, Roxy Music, the Zombies and Stevie Nicks (who is already a part of the Hall of Fame through Fleetwood Mac).

Online fan participation and a group of more than 1,000 artists, historians, and music industry insiders decide who receives the honor.

The ceremony took place over the weekend at New York City’s Barclays Center. Third time’s the charm! Janet deserves this.
