Cardi B is hip-hop’s hottest in-demand artist right now, and as she does, Beyonce wants a piece. The Lemonade singer is reportedly collaborating with the “Bodak Yellow” rapper on a new song titled “Wet” for Cardi’s debut studio album.
Cardi B’s engineer, Michael Ashby, revealed the news on Instagram. He posted a story that said “Wow this feature is big” with emoji eyes looking directly at Cardi B and Beyonce’s names next to the song title. What kind of epic surprise?

That’s an incredible feat for Cardi, who is the first woman to score a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill did in 1998. And the good news comes at a good time. Over the weekend, Cardi was kicked out of a hotel room in Albany. She recorded a video on Instagram (though it has since been deleted) claiming the staff was racist. Yikes. If there’s anyone that knows a thing or two about how to handle the white-hot spotlight, it’s Beyonce.
