Christina Aguilera says P!nk “sounds amazing on the record.”
Christina Aguilera gushes over P!nk.
UPDATE // JUNE 14:
Fighters had reason to believe unknown artist XNDA, featured on Liberation track, Pipe, was a pseudonym for P!nk, but Legend X confirms in a new interview with Paper that it is not in fact the Beautiful Trauma singer. She actually wouldn’t reveal who XNDA is, but had some pretty candy-coated compliments for P!nk.
“I would love to! And I’m dying for everyone to find out because they’re definitely multi-talented and I think it will take a lot of people by surprise,” X says about XNDA. “I have been sworn to secrecy so I can’t say anything, but they’ve got a great voice, yes.”
As for the P!nk song… will it ever see the light of day?
“I would love for it to, yeah,” she says. “There’s a great song we did together. And there’s a few songs that didn’t see the light of day on this particular record, but are in my back pocket. I’d definitely like to release that song in a really fun, cool, collaborative way. She’s just such a great artist and has grown into be such a strong force for women and I think she’s awesome. And she sounds amazing on the record.”
We’re going to need receipts.
Liberation drops Friday, June 15.
EARLIER // MAY 21:
Xtina’s new album features Keida & Shenseea (“Right Moves”), Goldlink (“Like I Do,” reportedly produced by Anderson .Paak), Demi Lovato (“Fall In Line”), Ty Dolla $ign & 2 Chainz (“Accelerate) and an unknown artist who goes by the name XNDA on a track titled “Pipe.”
Wait, who is XNDA? No one knows. Not even Google.
Fighters are under the impression it’s an alias for P!nk. The Beautiful Trauma singer spilled the beans last year she and Legend X linked up in the studio.
“We did a duet for her album and I don’t know when it’s coming out but it’s amazing,” P!nk told The Sun at the time. “We did it two years ago so I don’t remember the title, but she’s incredible.”
It’s very plausible Xtina is keeping the collab a surprise because of this. I’m choosing to believe that. Perhaps XNDA stands for X (Xtina) and NDA (the non-disclosure agreement that was obviously broken)?
