Avril Lavigne might drop a new album in the next few months.
A new record from Lavigne may be around the corner.
Three years have passed since the Canadian pop princess’ last body of work: 2013’s self-titled. Life came up, including the discovery she has Lyme disease, which put everything on hold… including any creative projects.
She did drop a couple of songs in between, including “Fly,” the main theme song for the Special Olympics and a collaboration with Nick Carter, but now that the singer seemingly has things under control she’s focused on releasing her sixth studio album, and it might debut in September or October.
Lavigne’s drummer Rodney Howard posted a throwback clip on Facebook today of their performance of “Here’s To Never Growing Up” on the Tonight Show in 2013 and captioned it:
Looks like the Disco Ball drums are gonna be coming back out for some September/October action…
We don’t know much about the album aside from writing songs with ex-husband and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and a rumored collaboration with Harry Styles, but Lavigne always to delivers. The wait will be worth it.
