It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for our Australian rap queen. She cancelled the Survive The Summer Tour, skull-dragged by Wendy Williams on national television, had a drink thrown on her by the Cash Me Outside girl and signed a $2.7 million deal with Empire. Whatevs. She left the drama behind to focus on a new lucrative deal that lets Iggy release and distribute her new tunes how she sees fit.
In recent weeks, Iggy’s shared some snippets of her new tunes. One’s titled “In My Defense” and features an icy trap beat and playful lyrics in the form of an adult nursery rhyme. It also might be the title of her forthcoming album, which she says trumps anything she’s ever put out before. If we’re lucky, it’ll drop this spring.
There’s also another song on the way reportedly titled “Sally Walker,” out March 15th, produced by J-White (Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow”). The rapper shared a clip from the RIP-themed music video.
