Iggy Azalea Has No Idea When ‘Digital Distortion’ Is Coming Out

Label troubles.

Iggy Azalea

In April, Iggy was under the impression her forthcoming album Digital Distortion was “going to be out the first week of June.” That would mean June 2. A while later, she told fans that was actually the pre-order date, and began telling reporters DD was slated for a June 30 release.

But now she doesn’t know.

The outspoken rapper took to SnapChat to spill the tea.

“I have no idea when it’s coming,” she says. “At first everybody at my label Def Jam was like ‘June 2nd, June 2nd.’ And I was like, ‘cool!’ So I told everybody that. But then they were like, ‘no, we changed our mind. Let’s put the pre-order up on June 2nd.’ So I was like, ‘OK, cool, that seems fair. What’s my album date going to be?’ And they’re like ‘June 30th, June 30th.’ So I did a bunch of interviews on TV the day that my single dropped with Anitta, and it seemed like all the reporters knew the date June 30th. So I was sitting her thinking, ‘yay they finally got their **** together and they’re telling everybody a real date that we can look forward to. But then I went on Jimmy Fallon and I noticed him saying, ‘Digital Distortion later this month.’ Hmm. Later this month? What does that mean. That can’t be good.”

She goes on to expose some of her label reps for ignoring her and it’s all downhill from there.

How does this happen? There’s going to be me some major backlash for this.
