Madonna is performing at the Eurovision finale on Saturday, May 18. The European Broadcasting Union confirmed the news to Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
They say she’ll perform a classic song, and something new. Madonna is this close to announcing her new era. Rumor has it the Queen of Pop’s new single is titled either “Summer,” or “Indian Summer.” Read more about that here. She also recently teased Project X.
There was chatter her performance might fall through because of the song selections. JPost published an article on the matter, claiming it might not happen because officials aren’t keen on one of Madonna’s picks. She also reportedly filmed a political advertisement that would “lead to controversy,” but it’s unclear if that has anything to do with the possible decision of barring her from performing.
Madonna is said to be raking in a cool million dollars for the performance, funded by billionaire businessman Sylvan Adams.
Bring us that controversy, Queen!
French daily newspaper Le Parisien talked to Marfin Gofin for a short profile article and the interesting part is about his plans for the coming months: going on tour with Madonna for the 3rd time in September with 5 or 6 other fellow choreographers. pic.twitter.com/Y3USu4r5M1
