The singer’s new song “Level Up,” the first taste off Ciara’s Jackie followup, hit Spotify ahead of schedule today (the official release is slated for Wednesday, July 18). It’s not available in the U.S. right now, but that’ll change at midnight local time.

On the J.R. Rotem-produced track (Britney Spears “Everybody,” Panic! At The Disco’s “Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time,” Gwen Stefani’s “Naughty,” Charlie Puth’s “Dangerously”), Ciara kicks the party off with a countdown before furiously spitting the words “level up” over frenetic production. It samples DJ Telly Tellz’s “F–k It Up Challenge.”

“I just keep elevating / No losses just upgrading,” Ciara boasts. “My lessons made blessings / I turned that into money.”

“Level Up” is the summer party anthem we needed. It doesn’t have an ounce of tropical EDM warmth, and I’m grateful for that. If I hear one more warbly voice in a song I’m going to level up.
