Happy Anniversary Femme Fatale Tour

Two years ago sounds like a lot of time, but doesn’t it seem like yesterday Britney kicked off her Femme Fatale Tour in Sacramento, CA? Well, that’s how long ago as of today it’s been.

The Femme Fatale Tour,” or FFT, was Britney’s eighth tour and kicked off June 16, 2011. The show portrayed Britney as an undercover secret agent chased by an obsessed stalker (sounds about right…) who she eventually captures and ultimately has the last laugh.

The tour featured opening acts of Enrique Iglesias Nicki Minaj, Jessie & the Boy Toys, Nervo, Pauly D, Destinee & Paris, The Wanted, Howie Dorough, Teen Angels, and Joe Jonas.

Her setlist included:

Hold It Against Me
Up N’ Down
Piece of Me
Big Fat Bass
How I Roll
Lace & Leather
If U Seek Amy
Gimme More
(Drop Dead) Beautiful
He About To Lose Me (Later Removed)
Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know
…Baby One More Time
Trouble For Me
I’m A Slave 4 U
Burning Up (Later Removed)
I Wanna Go
Till The World Ends

Barry Walters from Rolling Stone called the show “possibly her flashiest, fastest moving, and most entertaining production yet”, and added that the night belonged to Britney, as “she managed to prove that she’s still progressing as a showgirl. Not only that, she’s doing it better than even diehard defenders would’ve predicted.”

That she did. Happy Anniversary, Femme Fatale tour! Looking forward to seeing Britney defend her iconic touring status in Vegas!
