The countdown is on.

Halsey’s new song debuts next Thursday.

The singer has taken us on quite a journey since announcing the title of her forthcoming album hopeless fountain kingdom.

Earlier this week, she revealed the record features collaborations from Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran) and Ricky Reed (Twenty One Pilots) and centers around a “pair of lovers in a limbo-like realm that connects to the futuristic setting of the previous album.”

Today (March 31), the singer shared the album cover, single cover / title and release date after she sent fans around the world on a scavenger hunt. “Today I sent fans worldwide in 9 different territories on a hunt. They were given coordinates, where a tiny toy gun was hidden. The toy gun disassembled to become a USB stick containing a small piece of the album cover. All over the world fans worked together to collect the pieces and reveal the album art. I am so excited for what the future holds and there are many more adventures coming your way.”

She also launched a new website named to tease the goods. If we’re to take this at face value, the album drops June 2, her new single is named “Find Me In The Kingdom” and it is released on Thursday (April 4) at 3 pm PST. There’s also a countdown on the website ticking away to the song’s premiere date.

“The whole reason you make a record,” she says, “is to figure stuff out about yourself.” That’s where her obsession with Romeo and Juliet comes into play with the album’s theme. “I had killed off a version of myself just so we could make our love work,” she said. “Sometimes you’re in a relationship for so long and you become a different person. You lose yourself because you change for that person.” In the end, she says, “I put the seal on that relationship and fully purged myself of the feelings for that person at the same time as I finished my record.”
