Halsey denies her “Alone” music video looks like Iggy Azalea’s “Savior” clip.

The pop star has publicly dragged the Australian rapper several times now, and it’s not a good look. Last year, Halsey called Iggy a “f–king moron” for having a “complete disregard for black culture” and said she “watched [Iggy’s] career dissolve and it fascinated me.” Read more about that here.

Iggy responded by pulling a Mariah Carey, saying she didn’t know her.

There’s clearly tension between the two ladies, and things took a turn for the worse today (April 2) when Halsey took offense to someone saying her upcoming music video for “Alone” looks like Iggy’s “Savior” clip.

In a now-deleted Tweet, Halsey said “I’ve been using the R&J visuals since April of 2017. NAHHHHH,” she wrote. R&J stands for Romeo & Juliet.

“My record concept and all my videos have referenced Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet, neon crosses and church motifs included, since April 2017 ??‍♀️ and I did so with permission from Baz himself.” Halsey is referring to Baz Luhrmann, the director of the 1996 film William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet and Mouline Rouge!.

Halsey also Tweeted then deleted: “How can u rip off someone who ripped u off?”

It’s unclear why Halsey turns up at any mention of Iggy, but making a mention like this will only inspire Twitter trolls to stir things up more. See y’all at the inevitable Iggy response post later today.
