Shot by director Paul Thomas Anderson.
Haim is back!
The group announced their new album, Something To Tell You, drops on July 7. Aside from collaborations with various artists, it’s their first release since 2013’s Grammy-nominated LP Days Are Gone.
Haim also shared a tender video for their new song “Right Now” shot by critically acclaimed film director Paul Thomas Anderson. The clip is as stripped as the song is; an intimate look at how the Haim sisters master their craft inside of a studio. As the chord progression builds, their intensity heightens.
They told Zane Lowe this week that Anderson shot the video in one day “before he was going to work.”
“You can really hear the room mics are really loud and us stomping around,” Danielle Haim said. “Paul was adamant about wanting to hear Alana click on her pedal. You can hear that click when she does it and you can hear our heels and we were like, ‘Wow, this Is crazy I can’t believe we pulled this off in a day.'”
Expect one more release in the coming weeks; Haim is performing on Saturday Night Live on May 13.
