Google Reveals Who Was Basic And Who Wasn't In 2014

Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj are not surprisingly some of the most searched musicians in 2014 in the U.S.

Google tallied up what the world searched for the most this year, and the results are in: Iggy Azalea was crowned the states’ new musical queen, coming in at number. Trailing behind in second is Lorde, followed by Sam Smith.

I would make a snarky comment about my shock regarding the top three, but you probably Googled them. I’m surprised “Igloo Australia” wasn’t trending.

As far as most searched song lyrics goes, A Great Big World’s “Say Something” took the number one spot, just in front of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.” Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” made it because everyone legit thought she said “Starbucks lovers.”

BTW, Lorde was one of the most searched musicians globally, so there’s that.
