“I don’t care if it’s a random person or the biggest star.”

G-Eazy is flying high right now. The rapper is gearing up to release his forthcoming double album, The Beautiful & Damned, next Friday (Dec. 15). The 20-track project features collaborations with Halsey (“Him & I”), Cardi B, A$AP Rocky (“No Limit”), Kehlani (“Crash & Burn”), Anna of the North (“Pick Me Up”), and E-40 and Jay Ant (“Charles Brown”), among others. He released his Charli Puth collab, “Sober,” today (listen below).

To get the word out, G is making the rounds. One of his press stops included a chat with Build. The purple-haired interviewer mistakenly admitted her floppage when she revealed she had never heard Gerald’s Britney collab, “Make Me.” G had nothing but kind words to say about the princess of pop.

“Obviously… she is who she is. One of the biggest artists of our generation. Of all time, really,” he said. “Somebody who transcends everything and when they reached out and wanted me on that record I felt flattered.”

See what the Exhale forums are saying about that.

The reporter asked G what Britney was like, but he tip-toed around an answer. “I like the enigma that comes with a lot of artists, especially superstars, there’s like that… ‘what’s behind the curtain?'” he said. “There’s that Wizard of Oz mystique. Without giving away or ruining too much of that… she was that. She was larger than life but at the same time very human and humble.”

That’s our fav!

And here’s that Charlie Puth collab I mentioned before:

  1. Yas! Slay G… he always has her back and even though she was totally playing the ‘hard to get’/’uninterested’ card… he loved the challenge and probably made him like her even more (because fangirls probably normally throw themselves at him and that gets boring) lol
