As Britney takes steps to dissolve the conservatorship, manager Larry Rudolph comments on her mental and physical health.

Rudolph has remained silent throughout the #FreeBritney movement following allegations first brought to light by BritneysGram that his client was placed in a mental health facility against her will and forced to take drugs.

According to a new report, Britney confirmed the claims to a judge at her most-recent status hearing, and asked that the conservatorship come to an end. The judge denied her, instead asking for an evaluation to be conducted some time in the next several months to reassess where Britney is at mentally.

One of the other claims made in the BritneysGram podcast was that Rudolph was instrumental in putting her into treatment, and was quoted by the paralegal in a supposed closed-door meeting as saying: “At the very least this will help with ticket revenue when we re-announce Vegas.” Meaning, another comeback for people to look forward too.

Rudolph didn’t mention any of the claims in his new interview with TMZ, but he’s certainly singing a different tune.

“As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — from what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again,” he said.

TMZ points out Rudolph is not officially involved in the conservatorship.

“It was the perfect storm,” he continues. “We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad’s illness.”

That left a bad taste in fans’ mouths – openly discussing Britney’s medications. It’s also the story TMZ has been running with for weeks – that Jamie Spears pulled the plug on ********** because Britney refused to take her new cocktail of medication after her original mix stopped working. They also claimed things were so dire with Britney she nearly died.

Rudolph also says it’s up to Britney when she does and doesn’t work. “Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day,” he said. “She was excited. She hasn’t called me in months. Crickets. She clearly doesn’t want to perform now.”

It’s worth noting Rudolph’s statement began claiming Britney is not in a position mentally or physically to perform, but also says she doesn’t want to perform and they haven’t talked in months.

“I don’t want her to work again ’till she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately,” Rudolph continued. “If that time never comes again it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I’m here to tell her if it’s a good idea or a bad idea.”

Miley Cyrus, who was once managed by Rudolph, openly supports the Free Britney movement.

Performing is one of Britney’s passions, so the notion that she may never do it again in Vegas or in general… not buying it.

UPDATE: Rudolph has since clarified his statements, telling Billboard:

“Other media sources seem to be picking up my quotes to TMZ as implying that Britney will never work again. That’s not what I said,” Rudolph said. “I simply said that the Vegas residency is now officially off and that she hasn’t called me in months to talk about doing anything so I’m not sure if or when she will ever want to work again. It’s that simple.”

He added: “As I said to [TMZ’s Harvey Levin]: I have one role in Britney‘s life. I’m her manager,” Rudolph says. “She calls me if and when she wants to work. Other than that I’m not involved in anything else. Not the conservatorship, not her medical treatment, not her kids. Nothing else.”

Kevin Federline

It’s unclear if Britney spent Mother’s Day with her kids. A report from ET, who has close ties with Britney’s team, claims she did and had a “wonderful” day. However, paparazzi photographed Britney that day driving to get a Starbucks, and it did not appear she had her boys with her in that moment. “The boys went to see her on Mother’s Day and they celebrated together,” they report. “The boys missed her so much while she was away and they’ve been spending some quality time together.”

ET is reputable, but they also say Jamie is still handling the “day-to-day decisions she needs” which directly conflicts with reports claiming Britney is ready for her dad to step aside as conservator.

Meanwhile, a new report from Us Weekly claims K-Fed is restricting Britney’s visitation with them until she proves she’s in a better place mentally.

“Britney’s immediate concern has been in having increased visitation time with her boys,” Us Weekly reports. “Kevin won’t allow the boys to spend more time with their mother until Britney is once again stable and therapeutic on medication. He allows the boys to spend time with Britney, but it’s at his discretion.”

When Britney showed up to court on Friday in a bid to gain more independence, she reportedly walked in holding hands with mom Lynne. According to a new report from Us Weekly, Lynne is actually encouraging Britney to seek more treatment and isn’t helping loosen the grip of the conservatorship.

“Reports that Lynne is trying to help Britney loosen the constraints of the conservatorship are false,” a source tells them. “If anything, Lynne wants Britney back in treatment, and that angers Britney.”

This would appear to directly conflict with Lynne’s role in the first place.

Paparazzi caught up with Lynne this week as she left an iPhone repair shop and asked her how Britney was doing… “wonderful,” she said.

Sam Asghari

A blind item was posted on Crazy Days and Nights, and it appears to address Britney’s relationship with Asghari. It’s worth mentioning CDAN is very hit or miss.

It reads: “The permanent A list ‘singer’ just found out her boyfriend gets paid to be her boyfriend.”

The comments flooded the post with Britney’s name. No one is immune to criticism in Britney’s world, so naturally fans have suspected that for quite a while, however let’s hope this is just tabloid fodder and has zero truth to it.

Asghari posted about Britney on Mother’s Day:

Steps to remove the conservatorship

The devil works hard, but Us Weekly works harder. In a third report, they claim Britney was inspired to end the conservatorship now despite, according to them, knowing all along she had the right to end it.

“Britney doesn’t care if Jamie is left in control of her finances with the conservatorship of the estate remaining,” a source tells them. “However, according to Britney, the conservatorship of her personal life needs to end. She is finished with Jamie having control of her personal life and wants to have her own control over that.”

They add: “Britney has known her rights all along and knew she could ask the court for a hearing to end the conservatorship. She is now exercising that right. Britney will be meeting with a court-appointed investigator that will question her about the conservatorship. The investigator will also meet with Jamie Spears.”

Fans have long suspected her child visitation is used against her – if she doesn’t comply then they’ll restrict her access to the boys.

“This is going to be a very long process in which the investigator will also consult with Britney’s doctors under the guidance of Jamie Spears, and Britney’s court-appointed lawyer. Ultimately, it will be up to the judge to determine if Britney will no longer be under the conservatorship.”

Earlier this week, Britney was spotted being driven through a McDonald’s drive-through.
