Troye Sivan’s got “The Good Side” of things on his dreamy new tune.

The pop star’s latest release couldn’t be further from “My My My.”

“The Good Side” kicks off and ends with a frenetic harp-synth effects, but Troye grabs back the magnitude for the duration of it in between. There are so many twists and turns (in a good way).

His vocals are soft and delicate as he sings about the blues of fleeting love, but knowing in his situation he’s got the better hand. It’s otherworldly, heart wrenching, emotional. Just wow.

“I got the good side of things / Left you with both of the rings,” he sings over an airy guitar melody. “My fingers danced and swayed in the breeze / The change in the wind took you down to your knees / I got the good side of you / Send it out into the blue / The people danced to the sound of your heart / The world sang along to it falling apart.”

Some eerie synths accompany Troye’s vocals at one point before the plunky chimes ring in at the end, this time with a brooding bass.

As for his tone… he’s got a bit of The Beatles vibe going on. I know to many that’s music blasphemy, but like Troye… I call it like I see it.

One of the best songs in 2018 has just arrived. Listen below:
