Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui Featured On Marian Hill Track “Back To Me”December 8, 2016
Lauren Jauregui kicks off her solo career with help from Marian Hill.
UPDATE // DECEMBER 8:
Marian Hill’s “Back To Me” featuring Lauren Jauregui is out!
Jauregui admits she’s a “huge fan” of the duo and admits being asked to collaborate with a career highlight.
“Being able to form a genuine connection with them and then write together on this track was such an honor,” Jauregui tells The Fader. “I’m happy to be able to give people a snippet of my vibe for the first time in collaboration with them. I’m very proud of this track so I hope everyone enjoys it.”
Marian Hill echoed Jauregui’s statement, revealing the idea has swished around in their heads for over a year following an initial meeting at one of Marian Hill’s shows at the Roxy in L.A.
“Somehow, in the midst of both of our schedules, we managed to make it happen,” they said. “‘Back To Me’ began with the two of us on a plane and Lauren in a hotel room, ending with the recording in Jeremy’s bedroom. It has been our jam for the past several months. Now it belongs to you.”
EARLIER // DECEMBER 7:
Lauren Jauregui’s solo career kicks off this week.
Jauregui revealed she’s teaming up with The Rascals (the producers behind a handful of tracks on Ariana Grande‘s Yours Truly) in the recording studio, but her first official release sans Fifth Harmony will include duo Marian Hill. The Philadelphia-based team is made up of production artist Jeremy Lloyd and vocalist Samantha Gongol, and are including Jauregui on their next release titled “Back To Me.”
The group teased the song is “coming soon,” and chatter on the Internet suggests it’s out Thursday at midnight:
