And it was written by Charlie Puth.
Charlie Puth is responsible for an updated version of Fergie’s iconic “My Humps.”
The “See You Again” singer has some big shoes to fill if he’s hyping up one of Fergie’s new songs as 2015’s “My Humps,” but we’ll take his word for it. When he’s not swapping spit with Meghan Trainor or ruling the Billboard Hot 100 alongside Wiz Khalifa, he’s assisting Fergie’s return to music.
“I still get to write and produce records for other artists,” Puth told Digital Spy. “I got to work with Fergie – for example – last month, which was so much fun and we made such a cool song. Picture ‘My Humps’ 2015. Fergie is so talented, she’s such a genius. My mind was completely blown when I was in the studio with her.”
Expect to hear that and more later this year.
“I’m at that place where I need to finish everything,” Fergie said in a recent interview. “I’m getting all of my visuals together, all of my vision boards. Every song has a different character.”
She adds, “It’s about… seven years of ideas from different parts [of my life],” she continues. “From touring to being pregnant to all different aspects of life. Which is weird because ‘The Dutchess’ was a compilation of seven years worth of songs as well, so it’s kind of a little bit meant to be. It’s kind of weird. It’s kind of an omen.”
What will Stacy sound like in 2015? Stay tuned…
