What is the BreatheHeavy Community?

The BreatheHeavy Community is the next evolution of BreatheHeavy.com.

It features Artist Groups, curated timelines and the opportunity to have your comments read by thousands.

The BreatheHeavy Community is a hybrid of the news element on the former Main Page with the Exhale forums.

How do I register an account?

What is my Timeline?

Your Timeline is the first page you’re taken to after logging in. It consists of content you choose to see.

This includes:

  • Posts and comments you make
  • Posts and comments from other members in Groups you belong to.
  • Posts and comments from members that you Follow.

If you do not want to see content about a certain artist, do not join that Group, or Follow any member that posts about them.

What is the Community Activity Feed?

The Activity Feed displays ALL forums discussions, forum replies, feed posts, news posts and news comments.

It is the new homepage of BreatheHeavy.

Only members can post in the Activity Feed.

Guests can view the Activity Feed but must have an account to comment.

In the Activity Feed, members can either post something to their Profile Timeline, or post to a specific Group.

If you want to see your curated content, visit your Timeline.

How do I post on the Community Activity Feed?

Visit the Activity Feed here.

At the top of the page, there’s a box with the words: “Post a pop music update or use @ to tag someone!”

You can post an update to your Profile, or into a Group.

Posting to your Profile:

When posting to your profile from the Activity Feed, your post will appear in the Activity Feed for everyone to see, as well as on your Timeline located in your Profile. This means members who Follow you will also see your post on their timeline. Members who do not Follow you will not see your post.

Posting to a Group:

When posting to a Group, your post will appear in the Group you specified. For example, if you select the ‘Beyonce’ Group, your post will appear on the Beyonce Group’s Feed.

*You must Join the Group before posting to it.*

What is the difference between posting to your Profile versus a Group?

Posting to your Profile:

When posting to your Profile, it will display site-wide on the Activity Feed. More importantly, it will *only* display to people who Follow you. If someone does not Follow you, they will not see it on their Timeline.

Posting to a Group:

When posting to a Group, it will also display site-wide on the Activity Feed, as well as in the selected Group’s Feed.

What is the difference between posting in the Feed versus creating a Discussion?

Posting to your Feed:

When posting to your Profile, it will display site-wide on the Activity Feed. More importantly, it will *only* display to people who Follow you. If someone does not Follow you, they will not see it on their Timeline.
