Fantasia Drops Drama Free “No Time For It”

She sings, “I’m strictly focused on commas and dollar signs in my pockets.” Same.

Fantasia is gonna tell you how it is in her new song “No Time For It.”

American Idol produced a handful of singers we actually care about, and Fantasia is one of them. Her return to music is perfectly timed seeing how the singing reality competition is on its way out, cause we all have no time for it. On the Brian Kennedy-produced single, Fantasia sings about side-stepping the drama because… you guessed it. No time for it.

She sings, “I don’t care for gossip / What they gonna say, just got off the plane / I’m strictly focused on commas and dollar signs in my pockets.”

She posted a note to fans on Instagram explaining her return. Why now?

“Rock Soul, it’s so much more than a single genre of music. It’s all music and those who love it,” she says. “Rock Soul has not come without great sacrifice, taking many risks, and believing it would be embraced and received by the world. … So now it’s time to open the door to a new chapter of life, but yet still there are some things in life that I simply have ‘No Time for It.’”
