I think its a cute song and was a good choice for a single but maybe not as a lead.  Also it deserved a beautiful music video that went with the vibe of the song not the desperate sluttty mess the original was or the disney bullshit that they released.

Isn't it just "Make Me"?

I love the song. G Eazy actually brings something good to the song

and it gave us this iconic dance move

This. Its cool song but singleworthy only after Change your mind, Better, Love me down and maybe Liar (in my opinion)

It's not a bad song, just an awful choice as a lead single. And I don't even want to talk about the video(s)... ugh.

Can't stand it at all. I love glory, but Make Me is just an awful track; There's nothing really good about it, MV (either one), performances, the track itself, the fact ti was a weak lead single...No, next please.

Edit: Hey @Dollanganger darling, I see you! downvoting me ain't gonna make the song suck less :flop:

I hate G-Eazy verse :fu:

The Solo version outskinned but there's no proper bridge... :nervousney:

The song deserved a really good mature video, even the original version looked way too much slutty :britannoyed:

Unpopular opinion: Make Me... is her worst lead single. The chorus goes nowhere thanks to this "make me ooh" part.

It could have been saved by the video, but we all know how it ended...

Glory is full of gems, so I think this was a missed opportunity. :tbh:

Cool song but horrible lead single choice. Lead singles are supposed to hype things up and Britney’s known for putting on great shows so a song like Make Me is one of the least (from Glory) to allow her to do such thing.

Lead singles GREAT choices would have been:

1 Better

2 DYWCO

3 LOVE ME DOWN

In that order, the rest of the album, thank you very much :begone:

I think its a good song, and no song on a Britney album should fall below the high standard of Make Me-- from the lyrics, to the editing, its very well crafted and Britney sounds good, HOWEVER, it shouldn't have been a single.

I don't hate it, but its too.... mid tempo for me. And I get what they were trying to do by making it the lead, but they dropped the ball by chickening out of releasing the better video, so it was doomed from the start lead single wise.

I've loved it since it came out and still love it today. Her voice is heavenly on it and I applaud her for releasing a non-conventional dance track as her first single. It's a shame it didn't chart higher but at least it went platinum.
