I need to do some research about it a little later

Check wiki! Didn't it come out in 2009 I think??

I feel like she has Benjamin Button disease. One of the boys was somewhat mature but still fun, it was sexy but silly (which was her brand)

Teenage Dream was a perfect era for the most part, with Last Friday Night starting to dip into childish territory but it wasn’t obnoxious.

Then it just went downhill. Why is she targeting children? I don’t understand. Her videos used to be events, now EVERY TIME I cringe (with the exception of Unconditionally which was beautiful)

Its just........bad. And it keeps getting worse. The video to Hey Hey Hey was embarrassing. :/

A music video for the song was released on May 16, 2008 ;)

It aligns with the recent post on Twitter that it celebrates its 10th this year :)

And yuh, I wasfucking 16 back then :groovin:

Embracing childhood is a cool theme, but she’s not showing that, she’s just ACTING childish which is a big difference. There’s ways to show nostalgia and a connection to being a kid without resorting to making your videos a Saturday morning cartoon ya know?

Slay, 18 can be the best year to start having your fun, right?

As I remember, years 16, 18 were quite bad for me, I was depressed. And I remember some badass moments when I felt very strong. But mostly I still liked doing things like street pranks with my best friend. :quirkney: So innocent right? :quirkney: So many good memories also!

For me the overall level of happiness (which maybe doesn't equal fun???) has raised these recent years. And - a point looking back: Never too late or early for anything. Everything comes together. Everything comes at a right time. Everything will make sense.

To Katy's defense, I am sure she could still do an elegant and ’classy’ video. She just chooses something else!
