I've honestly tried listening to four K Pop songs to see what the hype is about.  :icant1:

Watered down versions of 90's boys-bands, yeah if this is a worldwide phenomenon I'd jump off a building too:imok:

Why are non-kpop fans mad over a kpop band ?

If you dont like it , there you go

we know that they are talented and so

there are millions of people like us. We know that kpop is better than us pop.

my actual fave is Britney but we knot her passion now in music.

This video is a soon a millionaire and will be a multi-millionaire in likes. Getting millions fast! When will any of Britney's videos? :wigsnatched:

But on a positive note to and for Britney and her energy and circulation, her latest video Slumber Party is one of my favs and the song too. <3 Britney is a talented performer. And so are BTS. I believe BTS will see much growth in the future. :) Britney is a senior performer, but it is wonderful - she was great from the "start". But not from the start, she put much work into it!!

I don't even really know who BTS are - my first time hearing about them was from that thread you created a few days ago - but, holy cow, I have seen this music video a few times already. The visuals, and the dancing are everything. They're also extremely stylish. :omgreallyney:

When I first saw the music video, and it ended, I didn't want it to end; It has tremendous replay value. :wigsnatched:

I already have a foot in the Korean entertainment because I'm an avid fan of K-dramas, but for whatever reason, I was never able to get into K-Pop; Yet, I think I might become an appreciator through BTS. :lustney:

They're amazing, I was not a fan of them but I had to attend to their concert twice (because of my work) and wow, they're insane live, I never saw so much energy and charisma on stage since Britney and now I'm obsessed

I'm hyped, to be honest. I really liked the performance of Mic Drop that you posted in a thread a few days ago (which is the reason why I decided to check this music video). I have to see if I can find a concert of theirs online, so I can watch how they do performing several songs in a row, and get to know some of their repertoire.

Do you have any suggestions?

P.S. You're so lucky to have a job that makes you attend concerts. I wish.

I think they can dance, which I enjoy.

I know I have no right asking since I'm on a Britney site and Myah but are the voices actually them?

I'm sure these guys are huge overseas and have a growing die-hard cult following here in the states. But no one (gp) knows who they are. And I'm sorry to say no one cares. Their management and certain american outlets (Jordan) would be better off to stop  force feeding this group down the publics throat as ... "a phenomenon".

I found myself wondering how is it they managed to make it on to the AMA stage but other American acts whom actually had hits this year did not?

On the plus side they sure can dance.

That is how this industry works sis, building some hype around a person / a band. But of course you need some appeal, i just don't see it with this band + it's really bad that one member has to translate everything to another member, because he doesn't understand english.

KPop boybands aren't really my tea (some of them are really cute though, not that that helps much). 2qi8l15.jpg Their music is a bit over the top and the production is way too tryhard. Imma stick with SNSD! :bang:

BTS lands a spot on the 'Guinness World Records 2018' through yesterday's AMA performance

BTS is truly making history wherever they go.

The boys' performance yesterday at the American Music Awards was truly one to go down in history, and they're continuing to amaze. Guinness World Records revealed that BTS will be in the 2018 edition for having the world's most Twitter engagements for a music group with the #BTSxAMAs tag.

Congratulations to BTS once again.

The thing is, Korean music shows are normally done live (the backtracking is just to help inbetween - they work 8+ hours a day training / dancing .. They also do ballads).  AMA's did something with the audio, whether or not it was to drown out the audience and up the LYRICS for people to hear because if you look at fancams, the audience was fanchanting REALLY fucking loud.  They WERE singing live, because you could hear two of them singing when the "music cut out" but the backtracking volume was so fucking high, it was awkward.  Trust me when I say they sing live lol and yes, the voice are theirs.  If you ever continued to hear them, you'd know who's who by their vocals alone lol

I'm not sure where everyone gets off on talking a lot of ish but just because someone listens to Kpop, doesn't mean they don't listen to other musicians.  But thanks for assuming bullshit.  But hey, that's to be expected here, because a lot of people are so close-minded and discriminatory. :umsaywhat:
